AREA is proud to offer the following Florida Home Inspection Pre-License and Continuing Education online course options for starting or continuing your home inspection education. New licensing regulations went into effect July 1st, 2010, however a grandfathering period is in place until March 1, 2011 allowing applicants to complete necessary educational, experience and testing requirements. The grandfathering requirements allow applicants to apply for licensure by completing at least 14 hrs of verifiable education and becoming certified by a state or national association which requires successful completion of a proctored exam. Applicants must submit proof of course completion, and proof of a state/national association membership (must include name of organization through which the exam was offered, name of the exam taken, exam results, and date of exam). Further details regarding the licensure requirements can be found on AREA's state requirement page or on the Department of Business Professional Regulation (DBPR) website.

Upon completion of an AREA Home Inspection Pre-License course students will receive a one year FREE membership to InterNACHI. Florida InterNACHI offers the proctored exam for a $100 fee and is accepted by the DBPR. Students also receive completion certificates, discounted HIF membership, several examples of approved reports and various reference material.
